Dianthus ‘Valda Wyatt’ is an RHS award-winning pink boasting large, lavish, rose-like double flowers in rose pink above greyish, strap-like evergreen foliage. The clove-scented blooms are produced over a long season and make wonderful cut flowers. This drought-tolerant hardy carnation is ideal for cottage gardens, sunny borders, gravel gardens and ground cover. Height: 35cm (14in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant Dianthus outdoors in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil that has been enriched with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. Choose a position in full sun.

Feed and water regularly until dianthus plants are fully established. Deadhead faded dianthus flowers frequently to encourage more blooms to be produced.
