Dwarf Bean 'Speedy'

After all risk of frost has passed gradually acclimatise dwarf bean plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7-10 days. Grow dwarf beans in any rich fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade, and water thoroughly after planting. Space bean plants 20cm (8") apart. Alternatively plant dwarf beans into patio containers filled with a general multi-purpose compost. Take care not to use high-nitrogen fertilisers as this may promote foliage growth at the expense of flowering and cropping.

Water dwarf bean plants regularly, particularly as the flowers develop, and hoe between rows to remove any weeds. Provide a compost mulch around the base of the plants to help retain soil moisture during dry periods. If growing dwarf French beans in containers give them a liquid feed every 2 weeks from mid-summer onwards. Harvest French dwarf beans regularly whilst still young to ensure the best quality beans and to prolong cropping.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Large items may incur a higher delivery charge - this will be displayed in your shopping basket.
