Commonly known as Redvein, Enkianthus campanulatus produces clusters of attractive, cream bell-shaped flowers, featuring red veins and tips to the petals throughout May and June. This sizeable, deciduous shrub bears green foliage that blends to gold and then on to red during the autumn. Height: 4m (12’).

Feed and water Enkianthus plants regularly until fully established. Redvein plants require little pruning except the removal of any damaged, diseased or misplaced shoots in winter while the plant is dormant, in order to maintain a healthy framework.
Grow Enkianthus in rich, fertile, moist soil. Redvein enjoys neutral to acid soil conditions, but alkaline soils should be avoided. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.
