Erysimum 'Trio'

This trio of perennial wallflowers will be some of the first flowers to colour your garden in spring, continuing for weeks until late summer. Each flower changes colour as it matures, morphing through various shades so that at any one time plants are covered in blooms at various stages, creating a stunning tapestry of bicoloured racemes. The fragrant flowers are held just above compact and bushy mounds of semi-evergreen foliage, making them perfect for adding pops of colour to the front of borders or for container displays.

Although Erysimum ‘Trio’ are short-lived perennials, they are so rewarding, tough, drought-resistant, undemanding and in the end - easy to root from cuttings - one can hardly hold it against them! The scented flowers also attract beneficial pollinators and make lovely bouquets. Height and spread: 45cm (18in).

Erysimum 'Trio' comprises the following varieties: 

• Erysimum ‘Winter Passion’ - Dark red petals mature to velvety purple
• Erysimum ‘Artist Paintbox’ - Burnt orange and mauve blooms
• Erysimum ‘Constant Cheer’ - Shades of orange/red, mauve, pink and purple
