Erythronium californicum 'White Beauty' is a spring flowering hardy herbaceous perennial. Its deciduous mottled green foliage has silver threading, and its bare stems each bloom with one (or more) star-shaped, nodding, flowers in delicate creamy-white. This Dog's Tooth Violet flowers from April to May, with each bloom boasting delicate, outward-curving petals measuring up to 6cm wide. Also known as the Fawn Lily, this RHS AGM Winner is a versatile, clump-forming plant ideal for cottage and woodland gardens, plus alpine and rockery settings. Erythronium californicum 'White Beauty' is suitable for north facing sites and those in partial shade, growing equally well in borders, beds and containers. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Plant Erythronium in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil that remains reliably moist. Choose a position in partial shade.

Feed and water regularly until well established. Young plants will need protection from slugs and snails. Remove old foliage as it dies back in autumn. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn.
