Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

One of the most beautiful foliage shrubs, Eucalyptus cinerea ‘Silver Dollar’ boasts loose sprays of rounded, stalkless leaves, stacked like coins along slender stems. The stunning, silvery-blue colour beautifully enhances other flowering plants, hence its popularity as a long-lasting filler for vase displays. The foliage of ‘Silver Dollar’, remains juvenile, and adult leaves are rarely formed. Like other Eucalyptus, it has a fruity, menthol scent when crushed. This versatile Eucalyptus responds well to pruning and training. It can be grown in a variety of forms - a small ‘lollipop’ tree, a bushy multi-stemmed shrub, a fast-growing privacy screen, or as a container specimen. Mature specimens develop attractive grey and red-brown bark. Rate of Growth: 1-1.5m per year. Mature height and spread if left unpruned - Height: 10-15 m (32-49ft). Spread: 5m (16’4”).

1 x 10 Litre Potted Plant (Height 50cm+) (KF3193)

Plant eucalyptus trees into any fertile, non alkaline, free draining soil that does not dry out. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold winds.
Feed and water eucalyptus trees regularly until fully established. Once established, eucalyptus trees are reasonably drought tolerant and will require less attention. Unless it is intended as a specimen tree, Eucalyptus will need regular pruning in early spring to restrict its vigorous growth. Cut back all stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework.
