Fragrant Pond Kit contains everything you need to create a colourful display for your garden pond or patio pond container. The kit includes an aquatic planting basket, 3 wildlife-friendly pond plants, pond soil and gravel. Quick and easy to plant up, this flowering pond display will provide colour and interest, a hiding place for fish and a habitat and food source for a myriad of pond creatures.

Flag Iris - Clumps of sword-like foliage gives rise to tall stems supporting bright yellow blooms in early summer. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Lythrum - Tall branching spikes of rose pink flowers that are irresistible to pollinating insects. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Pontederia - Heart-shaped leaves and terminal spikes of showy blue flowers from July to September. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Empty the soil mix into the aquatic planting basket, and plant the bareroots so that the growing point sits just below the soil surface. Cover the surface of the soil with the gravel to hold the compost in place. It is recommended that the planting basket is gently submerged in a bucket of water to allow the compost to become completely soaked through. This will allow any loose compost to float to the surface before you position it in its final position - choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot.

The perennials in this collection will need dividing and repotting each spring to maintain their vigour.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.
