The bright, cheerful flowers of Gaillardia ‘Torchlight’ are perfect for adding vibrant colour to well-draining, drought-prone borders and coastal gardens. Flowering from June all the way through to October, the bicolored red and yellow blooms are loved by pollinators and are borne on long stalks that are perfect for cutting. This hardy perennial will live for 3 to 5 years in a free-draining site. Height: 75cm (30in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 1 Litre Potted Plant (KC9107)

Grow gaillardia plants in any fertile, well drained soil in full sun.
Feed and water blanket flower plants until they are fully established. Once established gaillardia copes well with dry soils and is reasonable drought tolerant. Regular deadheading of faded gaillardia flowers will encourage more blooms to be produced. In late summer, cut back old foliage and flower stems to 15cm (6") to encourage basal growth before the first frosts. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of blanket flower in spring, and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.
