This classic red geranium makes a dazzling display in patio containers, beds, borders and hanging baskets. Colourful and versatile, this half-hardy zonal Pelargonium has a neat, compact habit with attractive rounded foliage. Grow Geranium 'Ultimate Red' as part of a mixed planting scheme, or individually in terracotta pots for a warm Mediterranean feel. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Pot up plugs into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise Geranium plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. When planting geraniums, choose a sunny or semi shaded position. Garden Ready plug plants can be planted straight out in the garden provided that there are no forecasts of frost.

Feed and water pelargonium plants frequently. Deadhead faded pelargonium flowers to encourage more spectacular blooms to be produced.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
