This eye-catching Cranesbill makes a lovely addition to a sunny border. Geranium pratense 'Azure Skies' forms a loose clump of finely cut foliage that gives it a somewhat lacy appearance. The fully-double, summer blooms are a rich azure blue, and borne in abundance over the summer months. Hardy Geraniums are stalwarts of the traditional cottage garden, creating excellent ground cover and mingling beautifully with other hardy perennials. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Pot up plug plants and grow them on in a bright, frost-free location. When plants are well grown, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before planing outside in their final position. Plant hardy geraniums in any well drained soil, in sun or shade. Water well to settle the soil around the roots.

Water hardy geranium plants regularly throughout summer until fully established. Remove old foliage and faded flower stems throughout the growing season to promote continuous production of fresh growth. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of hardy geraniums in spring to maintain their vigour.
