Although not true grasses, these evergreen hardy perennials will provide colourful grass-like foliage all year round. Neat clumps of linear leaves give an architectural presence in containers, at the front of borders or dotted throughout rockeries. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 40cm (16"). Supplied in 9cm pots.

Liriope 'Pure Blonde' (Lily turf) - An unusual variety with striking foliage that emerges white before colouring to green with maturity.
Ophiopogon nigrescens (Black Mondo) - Jet black foliage forms a lovely backdrop for the dainty bell shaped blooms and dark inky-blue berries.
Uncinia rubra 'Everflame' (Red Hook Sedge) - A vibrant sedge that forms tussocks of bright scarlet foliage.

Pot up grass plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant outdoors in any fertile, moist, well drained soil, in sun or semi shade. Liriope will prefer a shadier, sheltered position in reliably moist, slightly acidic soil.

Water regularly until Grass Collection plants are fully established. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps Spring to maintain plant vigour.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
