Hebe ‘Jewel of the Nile’ is a compact, bushy evergreen shrub with linear green leaves striped with yellow margins and flushed with pink that varies in intensity with the seasons. In summer, further colour is provided by a mass of fragrant light to mid-pink flowers. Its rounded habit makes a neat specimen for terrace pots, the middle of borders, rockeries and coastal gardens. A lovely choice for a wildlife garden where it is always popular with pollinating insects. Height and Spread: 50cm-80cm (20in - 31in).

Grow Hebe plants in moist, well drained, light sandy soil. Avoid planting Hebes on acid soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade and sheltered from strong winds.

Water well after planting. Once established Hebe plants require little maintenance other than an occasional trim after flowering to maintain the shape of the plant.
