Not simply a traditional, green ivy, the glossy foliage of Hedera helix 'Goldheart' is splashed with golden-yellow heart-shaped centres, creating drama that lasts all year round. While the evergreen leaves look particularly impressive in dark, shady corners, the climbing plant can also grow on walls, fences or trees that are exposed to some sun. It grows quickly to provide a dense covering along with yellow-green flowers in autumn, followed by black fruit. Height: 8m (26' 3"). Spread: 8m (26' 3").

Ivy plants enjoy a moist, well drained garden soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. Ivy is tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions but particularly enjoys an alkaline soil.

Ivy can be pruned at any time to restrict the plant to the available space. When renovating mature Ivy, this is best undertaken in spring bvefore active growth commences.
