The common names of Helianthemum 'Ben Fhada' tell you all you need to know about where they should be grown: Sun Roses or Rock Roses are best suited to a sunny spot in a rockery or costal garden. Once established in dry, gritty or sandy soil, large, bright flowers will emerge above the hardy shrub's evergreen leaves in the early summer and can reappear in August if the plant is pruned after the first flush. These yellow and orange blooms are sure to attract bees and butterflies, transforming a difficult garden into a haven for wildlife. Height: 20cm (8"); Spread: 30cm (1'0").

Grow helianthemum plants in moderately fertile, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Once established, rock roses can easily tolerate dry sandy soils. Choose a position in full sun.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, rock roses are relatively drought tolerant and require minimal maintenance. After flowering, prune helianthemum stems back to within 3cm (1”) of the previous growth.
