A variety that exhibits an exciting colour transition plus shimmering foliage that reflects the light and lifts drab corners, Heuchera ‘Violet Shimmer’ will not disappoint. Deep violet, shimmering foliage becomes even more silvered through early summer eventually becoming all silver with striking dark veins from mid-summer onwards. Height: 20cm (8in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera plants every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
