Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
Hibiscus syriacus 'Purple Ruffles' produces fully double mauve-purple flowers in abundance from late summer through to October. Despite its tropical looks, this Rose Mallow is fully hardy and provides a welcome splash of colour when many other plants have peaked. Although late to come into leaf in spring, the three-lobed, deep green leaves make an excellent foil for summer-flowering perennials. Great for sunny borders and requiring little maintenance, this deciduous shrub is an easy addition to any garden. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 2m (6.5').

Grow hibiscus plants in rich fertile, reliably moist, well drained soil, and situated in full sun. When growing hibiscus plants in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3.
Feed and water regularly. Prune Hibiscus in late spring by shaping the plant and removing any damaged or dead stems. Hibiscus is often one of the last shrubs in the garden to break bud, so be patient with plants that appear to have died over winter - they may just be dormant still!
