New for 2023, Hydrangea Endless Summer® Pop Star® has the fastest rebloom time of any lacecap hydrangea we’ve seen!

A breeding breakthrough, this compact variety will form new blooms within just 4 weeks of pruning. Equipped with this vigorous genetic inheritance it is outstanding both in the number of blooms and the speed of rebloom. Naturally compact, it forms a perfectly mounded shape that maintains its tidy appearance all season long, holding its flowers on strong stems which don’t flop. Equipped with strong disease resistance and weather tolerance, this versatile hydrangea adapts to any setting from containers and small-space gardens to mass plantings. Height and spread: 45-92cm (18-36in).

Note that the flower colour of your Hydrangea will depend upon your soil pH with blue tones dominating in soils with a pH of 7 or less and pink tones in soils above pH 7. For the deepest blue flowers right through the season we recommend the use of Hydrangea Colourant.

Hydrangea macrophylla prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively plant hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.
