Offering maximum flower power within a small footprint, Hydrangea ‘Little Fresco’ is a perfect choice for small spaces and container gardens. Despite its small stature, ‘Little Fresco’ carries impressively large flowerheads. The conical blooms transition through subtle colour changes as they mature, beginning creamy white then blushing green and pink. Hydrangea ‘Little Fresco’ blooms from August to September, although the dried flowerheads continue to provide interest through the winter months. Height: 70cm – 100cm (27-39in) Spread: 50-70cm: (20–27in).

Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.

Water regularly until plants are fully established.

Pruning:

Hydrangea paniculata flowers on the current season’s growth and will flower better if pruned annually. Establish a permanent framework to the desired height and every spring prune back all growth to this framework. At the same time, remove any dead or damaged growth.

For even larger flowers on erect stems, plants can be pruned back to a very low framework of only about a foot high.

After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
