Named Hydrangea ‘Living Infinity’ for its exceptionally long blooming period, this extra-special Hydrangea offers over one hundred and fifty days of gorgeous, colour-changing blooms! Large, conical flower-heads are held on a compact, deciduous shrub, the panicles changing in colour from shimmering white in June, blushing with pink through July and August before finally deepening to a rich, dark red in September.

Developed on a nursery in the Netherlands that has been worked by the same family for generations, the ‘Living Creations’ collection breaks new ground in developing the world’s best Hydrangea. These superior-quality hydrangeas are vigorous, exceptionally hardy plants boasting even stronger stems, a wide palette of colours, an extended bloom period and a longer life span. As easy as they are beautiful, they’re simple to maintain, withstand severe winters and bloom every summer for weeks on end.

The ‘Living Creations’ series of Hydrangea paniculata is the perfect plant solution for those dark and depressing spaces that you don’t know what to do with. Every garden has a problem shady area – a north-facing border alongside a fence, wall or hedge that is overshadowed by trees, or a dull corner on the patio that never receives direct sun. More drought tolerant than mophead hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla), Hydrangea ‘Living Infinity’ makes an exemplary choice for drier, woodland-type borders and for large pots or planters in shady areas around the house. A strong, well-branched framework supports large panicles that last from June to September with the colour-changing flowers offering a continuously evolving display.

Transform that dingy area into a charming woodland corner with Hydrangea ‘Living Infinity’! Once established, plants are a cinch to maintain - simply prune them back to a low framework every Spring. Height and spread: 1m (39in).

1 x 1 Litre Potted Plant (KH0486)

Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.

Water regularly until plants are fully established.

Pruning:

Hydrangea paniculata flowers on the current season’s growth and will flower better if pruned annually. Establish a permanent framework to the desired height and every spring prune back all growth to this framework. At the same time, remove any dead or damaged growth.

For even larger flowers on erect stems, plants can be pruned back to a very low framework of only about a foot high.

After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
