Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
The ghostly blooms of this dwarf Hydrangea take on a wonderful luminosity at dusk. The rounded, cone-shaped flower heads are creamy-white with a pale green tint, and borne in profusion throughout summer. With such an impressive number of blooms, it’s hard to see the handsome, dark green foliage that cloaks its sturdy stems! Hydrangea 'Little Spooky' is a compact deciduous shrub that’s perfect for patio pots, but also makes a lovely choice for a mixed border or woodland garden. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. If necessary, Hydrangea paniculata will tolerate hard pruning of the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level. This will also encourage larger flower heads to be produced. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
