Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
This low growing semi-evergreen shrub is perfect for low maintenance areas of the garden. Once established, Hypericum calycinum grows virtually anywhere from fertile, moist soil to poor, dry conditions – it even thrives in deep shade! The large, daffodil-yellow flowers are decorated with a central powder puff of yellow anthers from summer to autumn. Also known as the Rose of Sharon, this versatile shrub makes excellent spreading ground cover for borders and woodland areas, and can even be trimmed into a beautiful low hedge. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Plant Rose of Sharon shrubs in any garden soil and position that is sheltered from cold winds. Hypericum calycinum is a versatile plant coping well in poor, dry soils and even thriving in deep shade.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young Hypericums plants become established. Mature plants require little attention throughout the growing season. Prune Rose of Sharon plants back to ground level each spring to allow fresh new growth to develop.
