Hypericum 'Radiance' is a great little shrub for the front of the border, forming low domed mounds of finely textured, glowing foliage that makes a nice accent contrasted with other foliage colours and shapes. Tricoloured foliage in bright green, speckled with white and salmon-pink, creates a shrub with a light, warm tone. Further interest is provided from mid-summer to autumn when it is covered in bright yellow flowers that attract bees and later develop into decorative red berries. This low maintenance, semi-evergreen shrub is trouble free and makes an excellent addition to low maintenance plantings, container displays and coastal gardens. Ultimate height: 1m (3.2ft). Ultimate spread: 1.2m (4ft).

Plant St. John’s Wort in any garden soil and in a position that is sheltered from cold winds. Hypericum is a versatile plant coping well in poor, dry soils and even thriving in deep shade.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young Hypericums plants become established. Mature plants require little attention throughout the growing season. After flowering, lightly prune evergreen Hypericum plants to remove any damaged or dead growth and maintain a pleasing shape.
