Hypoestes phyllostachya is better known as the polka dot plant and it’s easy to see why. The beautiful white foliage is dotted and splashed with dark olive green, making a fabulous colour contrast. This tropical foliage plant has a spreading, bushy habit and makes a well-behaved houseplant – a fun and easy-to-grow option that’s perfect for beginners! For the best leaf colour, position polka dot plant in bright light, with protection from scorching hot sun. Height and spread: 30cm (12").

Grow Hypoestes in bright, filtered light, with protection from scorching sun. Low light levels can cause the foliage to revert to green so filtered light from a south or west facing window is preferable. This plant enjoys normal room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F), and moderate humidity.
