Jasminum x stephanense 'Starry Starry Summer Scent' does exactly as its name suggests. Sweetly-perfumed, starry blooms are borne from early summer among its bright green foliage. Each delicate petal is deep pink, fading to white at the outer edges, creating an eye-catching bicolour appearance. This deciduous twining climber thrives in a sheltered, west or south facing position, where it will quickly cover fences, pergolas, obelisks and trellis with its fast growing stems. Height and spread: 300cm (118").

After a period of 7 to 10 days acclimatisation to outdoor conditions, transplant Jasmine stephanense into large patio containers or borders. When growing jasmine in containers, choose a loam based compost such as John Innes No. 2. In borders, plant jasmine in any moist, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade. Provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to walls and fences.
Feed and water jasmine plants regularly throughout the growing season. After flowering, prune out the oldest stems, and reduce the remaining stems to restrict their vigorous growth to the available space.
