Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
This pretty deciduous climber bears an abundance of delicate star-shaped pink flowers in June and July, which emit a delicious jasmine fragrance. The slender leaves emerge pale yellow in spring before turning green in summer, and the twining stems will quickly spread to clothe walls, fences, buildings and pergolas. Grow Jasminum x stephanense in a warm, sheltered position for the best fragrance, giving it plenty of space to spread. Height and spread: 5m (16'). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up jasmine plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside in their final positions in spring or autumn. Plant Jasminum x stephanense in borders in any moist, well drained soil, although they will tolerate dry conditions. Position in a sunny site that is protected from cold winds in winter. Be sure to provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis or wires attached to fences and pergolas.
Feed and water jasmine plants regularly throughout the growing season. Prune Jasminum x stephanense after flowering by removing any old and overcrowded shoots. Jasmine plants need little pruning but will tolerate hard pruning to restrict vigorous growth; however this may sacrifice flowering the following year.
