Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
A dwarf conifer, Juniperus chinensis 'Blaauw' has blue - grey foliage plumes and is perfect for rockeries, gravel gardens, front garden borders, or as a small specimen tree planted in a lawn. For the first few years it could be planted in a container and placed on a patio or decking, until it is slightly larger and can then be planted out. It can adapt well to dry, sunny sites. As with all types of Junipers it is slow growing to begin with, but once mature will last for many years with no pruning or maintenance required. Height: 120cm (4'). Spread: 100m (3').

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes. Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively grow Junipers in large containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
Water Juniper plants regularly throughout the growing season until fully established. Juniper requires very little pruning other than to maintain its shape if needed.
