This low growing Juniper makes excellent, weed suppressing ground cover for rockeries and borders, or grown as an individual specimen plant. The low, sweeping branches are cloaked in aromatic, evergreen foliage, extending to 1.5m (5’) with maturity. Juniperus communis 'Green Carpet' is easy to grow, and needs virtually no maintenance once established. With a strong, architectural presence it is ideal for providing year round colour and structure to your garden. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 1.5m (5').

Plant Junipers in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any well drained soil; juniper trees tolerate dry, chalky or sandy soils. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply. Plant Rocky Mountain juniper at the same level as it was in its pot. Alternatively grow Junipers in large containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.

Water Juniper plants regularly throughout the growing season until fully established. Juniper does not require any pruning. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
