Flowering for up to eight weeks, this Flaming Katie or Kalanchoe, will add bright colour to your home with its clusters of small, deep red flowers whilst demanding little in the way of care. A low maintenance succulent with fleshy leaves it requires little watering. Simply place it in a bright sunny spot and deadhead the fading flowers. Height and spread: 20-30cm (8-12in).

Place your Kalanchoe in a bright, partially spot – an east- or west-facing windowsill in summer and a south-facing windowsill in winter is perfect. Only water once the top few centimetres of soil have dried out, and don’t let the plant sit in water. Feed once a month in spring or summer and deadhead any faded flowers. Keep above 10C in winter.
