Grow Howea in bright, filtered light, well away from the direct glare of the sun. This palm enjoys normal room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F), but avoid positioning it near cold draughts and radiators.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season to maintain moist, but never waterlogged soil. Take care to drain plants well after each watering. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between each watering.
