The deciduous Leycesteria ‘Golden Lanterns' is a hardy shrub that is really easy to grow. Its arching stems bear soft golden leaves. In the summer months dangling maroon and white blooms emerge. Purple-black berries follow as autumn approaches.

Sometimes known as Pheasant Berry, Leycesteria ‘Golden Lanterns' looks great in woodland or coastal gardens - especially in dry areas. The autumn berries attract birdlife in autumn, making them a real favourite. Height and Spread: 2m (6.5').

Pheasant Berry thrives in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Leycesteria plants tolerate a wide range of soils, from sand to chalk and clay, and can be remarkably drought tolerant.
Leycesteria plants are low-maintenance and easy to grow. Prune back hard each spring to keep plants within their available space and encourage new, colourful growth.
