Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews
This beautiful collection of Lilacs are specially selected as they are less commonly seen in UK gardens. They are a must have trio for sunny borders or as a specimen plant in the front garden. Lilac are sweetly perfumed and bare late spring blooms.

Lilac Trio Collection comprises:

  • Syringa pubescens subsp. patula 'Miss Kim' - Delicate blooms and heart shaped that turns to plum and burgundy in autumn. Height: 2.5m (8’). Spread: 2m (6’, 6").
  • Syringa x chinensis 'Saugeana' - Free flowering with much smaller leaves than the Common Lilac, giving a more airy appearance. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 2m (6',6").
  • Syringa josikaea - Slender stems bear airy panicles of small, pink flowers with a sweet perfume. Height and spread: 3.5m (11').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Prune lilac bushes in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining stems. After pruning, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the shrub.
Grow lilac plants in rich fertile, well drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Dwarf Lilac plants may be grown in containers if preferred using a loam based compost such as John Innes No.3.
