This grass-like perennial is perfect for adding colourful, textural groundcover in the most challenging dry sites.

Lomandra longifolia ‘Miners Gold’ explodes into a fountain of golden foliage that retains its colour all through the year. Once established, it will effortlessly deal with heat, drought, poor soils and coastal conditions. Planted on mass, it makes a superb groundcover plant for larger landscaping projects. Its contemporary looks are ideal for modern, low-maintenance planters. Combine its golden foliage with purple-leaved plants for a striking contrast. Height: 60-90cm (2-3ft) Spread: 120cm (4ft).

Grow Lomandra in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Once established it can cope with a wide range of conditions including hot, dry locations. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.

Water regularly until plant is well established. Lomandra requires virtually no maintenance except the occasional comb through to remove old foliage.
