Muscari Blue & White Mix are perfect for creating reliable ground cover beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, or for filling gaps between other spring bulbs at the front of borders. This cheery blend needs virtually no maintenance, and once established, they will multiply with each passing year to create a carpet of colour. Versatile, touch and trouble free, they can be planted almost anywhere from challenging slopes to rockeries, borders and patio pots. With their nectar rich flowers they also make a useful choice for wildlife areas. Height and spread: 20cm (8").

For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 5cm (2") apart.

Allow the foliage of Muscari plants to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs for the following year. Overcrowded clumps can be lifted and divided in summer while the bulbs are dormant.
