A collection of five different species that will combine to form a hedge that you would expect to find in the anywhere in the British countryside. Recreate a natural boundary to your garden that will look wonderful and also be a haven for wildlife throughout the year. Combining stunning floral displays with robustness, physical deterrent for intruders and the bonus of fruit on some of the varieties, our native hedging collection is the perfect answer to your heding needs. The collection is made up of Oak, Silver Birch, Hawtorn, Blackthorn and Wild Cherry, all of which can be reularly trimmed to keep them under control. Plant 4 plants per metre for a single line hedge.

Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant your hedging at the same soil level as they were growing at the nursery, and water well to settle the soil.

Water regularly until fully established. Blackthorn require little aftercare. Simply remove any diseased, damaged or crossing shoots to maintain a healthy framework. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plants in spring, taking care not to mound mulch up against the stems.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £4.99.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £6.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Large items may incur a higher delivery charge - this will be displayed in your shopping basket.
