Osteospermum 'Purple Sun' is a multi-award winning African Daisy. The vibrant flowers smother the plant in summer. They have mauve centres, with yellow tipped petals. It can be planted in rockeries, garden borders, or containers in a full sun position, and is a good plant for informal, priarie and exotic style gardens.  Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Pot up osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
Feed and water Osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded Osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.
