Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
The beautiful, burgundy blooms of Osteospermum 'Sunny Gaia' have a velvety appearance that brings a touch of class and style to summer displays. This showy African Daisy is free flowering with a neat, clump forming habit. Like all Osteospermum, the daisy-like blooms open fully when the sun is out, and close demurely on cloudier days. A great choice for planting in hot, sunny borders and rockeries, or basking in containers on sunny patios. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Flowering Months
Feed and water osteospermum plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded osteospermum flowers throughout the flowering period to encourage more blooms to be produced.
Pot up osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
