An easy-going and compact houseplant that does well under fluorescent lights or in moderate lighting conditions, Peperomia caperata ‘Rosso’ is perfect for the office or shadier areas. The fleshy foliage of this tropical succulent is drought resistant making it easy to look after. Peperomia ‘Rosso’ forms a neat rosette of dark green, glossy leaves that are deeply grooved. Each leaf has a cheeky red underside that is revealed as it curls upwards, so it's best displayed at eye-level or above. Height and spread: 20cm (8in).

Grow in moderate indirect light in temperatures from 18-24°C. Avoid direct sunlight which will scorch the leaves. During the growing season, water from below when the soil has almost dried out. Do not overwater. Apply a dilute liquid fertiliser a couple of times during the spring/summer. Ease off watering during the winter, allowing the soil to remain on the dry side.
