Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Petunia ‘Tickled Pink’ is an impressive climbing variety which can be trained up an obelisk or trellis to create a colourful curtain of blooms. Alternatively, allow it to cascade from a large basket or use it to form a spreading carpet of vivid ground cover. Fragrant, 2in, bright magenta blooms are held on vigorous, weather-resistant plants that can grow up to 6 foot in one season. Height and spread: 175cm (70”).

This selection includes a black and gold Tower Pot which has been specially designed to train plants into pillars of colour on your patio. Easy to assemble, the sturdy lattice frame is ideal for all types of climbing plants, including climbing petunias, climbing geraniums and sweet peas. Simply guide the stems on to the Tower Pot™ frame and secure with soft twine. We recommend that you wear gardening gloves when removing old plants from the frame to protect your hands.

  • 10 Postiplug plants
  • 1x Black and gold Tower Pot Pack containing 1 pot (42cm/16in diameter, 31cm/12in high), 1 pot saucer and a 4-part frame. Total height of pot and frame: 1.3m (4').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting.
