It bears a profusion of flowers from early summer, with white frilly petals, that are mauve pink in the centre, with creamy-yellow anthers. They produce a lovely orange fragrance and will attract bees and butterflies to your garden. Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile' doesn't grow out of control, and is relatively low maintenance, making it suitable for smaller gardens, as well as medium and larger sized gardens. Ideal for mixed borders, wildllife areas and even tolerates challenging coastal locations. Height: 120cm (47"). Spread: 250cm (98").

Grow Philadelphus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Mock Orange plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Philadelphus requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
