Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

The phlox Flame series are compact, bushy, mildew-resistant varieties that are ideal for small beds and containers. Phlox paniculata ‘Lilac Flame’ produces clouds of fragrant bright pink flowers from midsummer through to autumn, providing valuable colour at a time when many summer-flowering perennials are coming to an end. Phlox are a cottage garden staple, giving a long-lasting display whilst not minding whether they are in full sun or part shade, and thriving in even heavy clay soils. They are a magnet for butterflies. Height: 40cm (16in). Spread: 30cm (12in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow phlox plants in any fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.
Feed and water regularly, particularly during dry periods, until young phlox plants are fully established. After flowering, lightly shear the stems to encourage lots of fresh new growth.
