Prized for its brilliant red young foliage, this hardy evergreen shrub is deservedly popular, holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Clusters of dainty white flowers appear in spring, followed by small red berries. With regular pruning, Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' is easily maintained and makes an attractive feature for borders all year round. This versatile shrub can also be grown as an evergreen hedge in sheltered positions. Height and spread: up to 4m (13’).

Feed and water container Photinia plants regularly until they are fully established. Photinia requires only occasional attention in summer after flowering. Prune out any damaged stems and trim those that spoil the shape of the plant . When grown as a hedge, Photinia can be trimmed up to 3 times a year, from late spring through to mid-August.
Plant Photinia directly into borders in any moist, free draining soil. Choose a position in full sun.
