Picea glauca ‘Blue Planet’ forms a cute miniature cushion composed of incredibly fine, blue-green needles. In fact, it has the smallest needles of any Picea available. This slow-growing conifer makes less than ½ an inch of annual growth so it is guaranteed not to outgrow its space. Picea ‘Blue Planet’ is perfect for creating all-season textural interest, form and foliage colour in sunny troughs, rock gardens and gravel gardens. Height and spread: 20cm (10in).

Grow Picea glauca plants in moist, but well-drained, acidic soil in full sun. Choose a position that is sheltered from cold, drying winds. Alternatively grow in large containers, using ericaceous (acidic) compost.

Once established, Picea plants require no pruning or maintenance.
