The pyramidal silhouette of Picea glauca 'Perfecta' is ideal for adding all-year-round structure to a patio, courtyard or balcony garden. Its dense evergreen foliage creates strong, vertical accents to frame entrances and other architectural features. A dwarf White Spruce that remains nicely compact, it is perfect for small spaces, and equally effective as a stand-alone focal shrub or planted in mixed containers to add height. Alternatively, use it as a permanent feature in a shrub border or rock garden.

This Picea glauca ‘Perfecta’ also makes a lovely Christmas feature. Decorate it with baubles and lights to brighten doorways and give that extra festive welcome. Height: 1.5m (5ft). Spread: 60cm (24in).

Grow Picea glauca plants in moist, but well-drained, acidic soil in full sun. Choose a position that is sheltered from cold, drying winds. Alternatively grow in large containers, using ericaceous (acidic) compost.

Once established, Picea plants require no pruning or maintenance.
