A lovely new introduction combining a pretty colour palette and a very compact habit.

Potentilla ‘Bella Apple’ is smothered in saucer-shaped apricot flowers from late spring to mid-autumn. Forming a low mound densely clothed in tiny, mid-green leaves it makes effective ground cover and needs little maintenance. This robust, drought-tolerant shrub makes a charming addition to a sunny, free-draining border, rockery, or courtyard, rewarding with a long season of flowers that attract beneficial insects. Height and spread: 60cm (12in).

Grow potentilla in any moderately fertile, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water regularly until young potentilla plants are fully established. Shrubby Potentilla plants should be pruned after flowering. Remove any damaged or dead stems before cutting back the flowered stems to within 2.5cm (1") of the previous year’s growth.
