Potentilla fruticosa 'Limelight' is a hardy deciduous shrub renowned for its pretty flowers. They have five circular white flowers in a star shape, and have a yellow tint in the centre. The plant is very low maintenance and will flower throughout the summer from May to September. It is a perfect cottage garden shrub, and also looks great planted in a rockery. Potentilla fruticosa 'Limelight' has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. Height: 1m (39"). Spread: 1.5m (59").

Plant Potentilla in a sunny site on any free draining soil. On clay soil, add plenty of coarse grit or sharp sand to improve drainage.

Feed and water plants regularly throughout the growing season. In autumn, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base plants. Prune Potentilla stems back to within 3cm (1") of the previous year’s growth in spring to promote bushy growth and a multitude of flowers the following year.
