A drought tolerant hardy shrub, Potentilla fruticosa 'Mango Tango' has attractive grey - green foliage and is covered in pretty yellow- orange flowers from May all the way through to September. This compact Shrubby Cinquefoil thrives in sunny borders or rockeries and makes a great low hedge. Shrubby Cinquefoils are native to the Northern Hemisphere, often growing at high altitude in mountainous regions. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Plant Potentilla in a sunny site on any free draining soil. On clay soil, add plenty of coarse grit or sharp sand to improve drainage. When growing Potentilla in patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Water well and position in full sun.

Feed and water container grown plants regularly throughout the growing season. In autumn, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of border grown plants. Prune Potentilla stems back to within 3cm (1") of the previous year’s growth in spring to promote bushy growth and a multitude of flowers the following year.
