With a maximum growing height of 1 metre, Potentilla fruticosa 'Marian Red Robin', is an ideal flowering shrub for a small garden, or at the front of larger borders. This small variety of Shrubby Cinquefoil is also suitable for container growing, so it can grown in a planter on patio or decking areas. With pretty red flowers, with yellow centres, throughout the summer and early autumn, set against grey-green foliage, this shrub is well suited to cottage style gardens. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Grow potentilla in any moderately fertile, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water regularly until young potentilla plants are fully established. Shrubby Potentilla plants should be pruned after flowering. Remove any damaged or dead stems before cutting back the flowered stems to within 2.5cm (1") of the previous year’s growth.
