This tough and resilient evergreen shrub is perfect for adding year round interest and colour to your garden. The dark glossy foliage of Pyracantha ‘Orange Glow’ makes a lovely backdrop for its lightly fragrant, small white flowers in late spring. By Autumn this RHS AGM Firethorn is literally aglow with shiny orange-red berries that provide valuable winter food for wild birds. This versatile hardy shrub makes a fabulous, low maintenance specimen for growing against walls and fences in almost any aspect from full sun to shade. Height and spread: 250cm (98").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until Pyracantha plants are fully established. Tie in the shoots of wall trained shrubs regularly to promote a strong framework of stems. After flowering, prune side shoots to 2 to 3 leaves from the base of each shoot to expose Pyracantha berries for the best autumn display. Remove old fruit trusses in spring to make way for new growth.
Plant Firethorns in any moist, well drained garden soil. Pyracantha are resilient plants and once established they will grow in most soils positions from full sun to light shade, on light or heavy soils. Wall trained plants will require support by tying the stems into a framework of horizontal wires.
