Description How to Grow Delivery Reviews
This mid season variety of raspberry produces a  great crop of berries in late June and early July, which are large, deep red and wont spoil easily. They are perfect for delicious summer deserts, or just washed and eaten fresh from the bush. The canes are thornless, making it a safe choice for families, so kids can help pick the fruit. All of our raspberries have been inspected by the Ministry of Agriculture for pests and diseases and certified. The bare root plants are hand graded and carefully selected before packing. Height: 150cm (59"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Estimated time to cropping once planted: 16-20 months.
Estimated time to best yields: 28-32 months.

Water summer fruiting raspberries well for the first year until plants are fully established. Loosely tie the stems in to their support wires as they grow. When berries begin to develop, place a net over the plants to protect the crop from birds. In autumn, prune the canes which have fruited over summer to ground level. Canes which have not fruited should be 'tied in' to their supports. Aim to have 6 to 8 fruiting canes per plant. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the canes in spring. This will help to retain moisture throughout the summer.
