If you are looking for red rose climbing plant, then Rose 'Love Knot' (Climbing Rose) is a perfect choice. This cultivar has gorgeous, deep red, double bloom roses, that repeat flower during the summer and have a delicate fragrance. It has dark green, glossy foliage, and the stems are flexible making them easy to train, on a trellis or obelisk. Flowering Months
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In late summer begin pruning climbing roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged stems. For the first two years the remaining stems should be trained horizontally on wires. From the third year, the main stems can be reduced to maintain the plant within the available growing space. Side shoots should be reduced to 3 buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
